Paper Squishy / Privacy Policy
Paper Squishy Privacy Policy
Paper Squishy is a craft app: kids design a squishy, print a paper template and build it. We built it so that nothing your child does in the app leaves their device unless you choose to print or save it. In short: we don't collect any data.
What we collect
Nothing. Paper Squishy:
- has no accounts, sign-ups or logins
- doesn't ask for ages, email addresses, locations or photos, and doesn't use the camera or microphone
- has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and includes no third-party code that does these things
- never connects to our servers or anyone else's (we don't have servers); the only connection is Apple's App Store, when a grown-up makes or restores the purchase
- has no AI model or chatbot
What stays on the device
Your child's squishies (the shape, colors, stickers, drawings and the name they give each one) and the grown-up settings (paper size, and whether to ask before printing) are saved on the device itself. They are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
Names your child types are checked on the device for rude words and for anything that looks like an email address, website or phone number, so personal details don't end up on a printout.
Read aloud
The speaker buttons read instructions aloud using the voice built into the device. Nothing is recorded.
Printing and saving a PDF
The template is made on the device. Printing uses Apple's AirPrint and sends it straight to the printer you pick. Saving the PDF asks the grown-up question first, then opens the standard iPhone and iPad share sheet, and the file goes only where you choose to send or save it. We never receive a copy.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see any payment details. Purchases are behind a grown-up question so children can't start them by accident. If Family Sharing is on, Apple may share the purchase with your family.
Grown-up settings
The grown-up settings, purchases and Save PDF sit behind a grown-up question (a multiplication question written in words). The app has no links to websites or other apps.
Children's privacy
Paper Squishy is made for children, and is designed to follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR and Apple's rules for the Kids category. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, there is nothing to review, change or delete. If you have questions, contact us below.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. If a future version of the app would collect any data, we'd update this policy first and ask for a parent's consent where the law requires it.
